Listen now | Mark Zuckerberg on: Llama 3 - open sourcing towards AGI what he would have done as CEO of Google+ energy constraints on scaling Caeser Augustus, intelligence explosion, bioweapons, $10b models, & much more Enjoy! Timestamps (00:00:00) - Llama 3 (00:08:32) - Coding on path to AGI
It’s interesting to see how Zuckerberg addresses the AGI question (or lack of engagement with the question, really). The fact they say AGI is their openly stated mission to me comes across as marketing more than anything else, but it’s hard to deny that Meta has been successful in catching up with the competition and their open source strategy is working.
I also liked that Zuck regards EQ as its own modality, even though more socially aware and emotionally capable AI agents may really turn out to be a knife that cuts both ways.
Impressed by the depth of Zuck's knowledge on the ins-and-outs of what they're doing with these models. A CEO (even a founder) of a massive org like this with so many goings-on would have a lot of good excuses to bring along a CTO or other tech head with them.
Wow huge snag
Stellar interview! Thank you for sharing.

Mark Zuckerberg is wearing a wig, look at the line on his forehead

AMAZING - so it wasn't an April Fool's joke? Listening now - very good! Will recommend in my newsletter tomorrow
